The Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, located in Albernoa, Beja, in the heart of Baixo Alentejo, emerges framed in this time capsule that extends over 450 hectares. Alongside wine, agricultural production and hospitality, horse breeding is the Soares family’s dream.

The creation of Purebred Lusitano Horses and the Stud Farm of Herdade da Malhadinha Nova started in 2008.

Six mares and a breeding stallion started the equestrian bet. With HMN iron since 2008, today the number stands at 32 horses that are part of a structure dedicated to breeding for training, competition in dressage and marketing. At the same time, inhabit the riding of horses integrated in the equestrian tourism of Malhadinha.

The art of equestrian training and thinning of Lusitano Purebred horses is entrusted to the professional rider Pedro Sousa.

Riding the horses Coeso, Kleber and Conquistador, the Portuguese rider has collected several prizes over the years, whether in the Portugal Dressage Cup, in the National Teaching Competition contests and in the New Horses Project, of the Portuguese Association of Lusitanian Thoroughbred Horse Breeders.
